The aim of the project is to promote multilingual young people in their educational language. Starting from the idea of rethinking the language of education not as a 'register' but as a 'translanguage', the existing research is reformulated by research questions in such a way that its answer enables a funding-oriented diagnosis of educational language competences. The research questions arise from the finding that there is a considerable lack of precise knowledge about the awareness of pupils with regard to the argumentative and participatory performance of the language of education, that the course of competence of their educational language development is in the dark and that the reference framework for age-specific language acquisition has yet to be compared.
